Sarah Dickover

Hello! I’m Sarah and an Illustration graduate from Ringling College of Art and Design. I love painting with bright colors and primarily use watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils in my pieces. I also very much enjoy using pen and ink and digital, but I do not use them quite as often. I am working towards being an illustrator for children’s books, and recently I’ve found a love for pattern design as well. I’ve gone through a lot of self-discovery over the years, and I’ve found that what I enjoying making the most are illustrations that ignite a sense of joy and warmth. The idea of illustrating for children’s books has settled well with me because often times when people are reflecting back on their childhoods, they speak fondly of the books that they grew up on, and I want to be able to create something that children growing up will be able to love and be nostalgic towards when they get older like the work of Beatrix Potter was for me.

Another passion that I’ve taken a liking to, is tabling for artist alleys at conventions! This is quite different from the rest of my portfolio that’s geared for publishing, but it has brought me a lot of joy to make artwork based on games and series that have shaped me as a person, and that I’ve grown up adoring!
